It's THAT kind of lonely Sunday...
What do you listen too when you feel all alone and miss someone so fiercely...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2qZt8l7Xy8&mode=related&search=

I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me

You used to captivate me
By your resonating life
Now I'm bound by the life you've left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me
I've been alone all along

A friend of mine used to call them "Black Sundays" and I understand why.

7. lol, I just put that in there a couple of days ago, it's relevant.
and why I linked that song I did as well. I love, love, love "Oh Well", it is one of the best Fleetwood Mac songs ever. Man if you have an old recording I'd love to hear it. I can't find it on youtube.

5. For you and your missed one...

I wish things could be different for the two of you.

(feat. Martha Wainwright)

I find the map and draw a straight line
Over rivers, farms, and state lines
The distance from here to where you'd be
It's only finger-lengths that I see
I touch the place where I'd find your face
My finger in creases of distant dark places

I hang my coat up in the first bar
There is no peace that I've found so far
The laughter penetrates my silence
As drunken men find flaws in science

Their words mostly noises
Ghosts with just voices
Your words in my memory
Are like music to me

I'm miles from where you are,
I lay down on the cold gound
I, I pray that something picks me up
And sets me down in your warm arms

After I have travelled so far
We'd set the fire to the third bar
We'd share each other like an island
Until exhausted, close our eyelids
And dreaming, pick up from
The last place we left off
Your soft skin is weeping
A joy you can't keep in

I'm miles from where you are,
I lay down on the cold gound
And I, I pray that something picks me up
and sets me down in your warm arms

And miles from where you are,
I lay down on the cold gound
and I, I pray that something picks me up
and sets me down in your warm arms

28. :::sigh:::
yes, i like that one too.

Gorecki by lamb is another...

If I should die this very moment
I wouldnt fear
For Ive never known completeness
Like being here
Wrapped in the warmth of you
Loving every breath of you
Still in my heart this moment
Or it might burst
Could we stay right here
Until the end of time until the earth stops turning
Wanna love you until the seas run dry
Ive found the one Ive waited for

All this time Ive loved you
And never known your face
All this time Ive missed you
And searched this human race
Here is true peace
Here my heart knows calm
Safe in your soul
Bathed in your sighs
Wanna stay right here
Until the end of time
til the earth stops turning
Gonna love you until the seas run dry
Ive found the one Ive waited for

The one Ive waited for

All Ive known
All Ive done
All Ive felt was leading to this
All Ive known
All Ive done
All Ive felt was leading to this
Wanna stay right here
til the end of time till the earth stops turning
Im gonna love you till the seas run dry
Ive found the one Ive waited for
The one Ive waited for
The one Ive waited for

Wanna stay right here
til the end of time till the earth stops turning
Im gonna love you till the seas run dry
Ive found the one Ive waited for
The one Ive waited for
The one Ive waited for

6. Dimming of the Day
Edited on Sun Jan-07-07 12:37 PM by hippywife
by Richard and Linda Thompson. YouTube had a video of them doing it but the quality wasn't good. The video posted below is someone's strange tribute to Meryl Streep but it has the Corrs singing this song and the audio is fairly good. It's a sad and beautiful song. I love Bonnie Raitt's version.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=eyxK20-7cUU

Lyrics:

Artist: Richard & Linda Thompson Lyrics
Song: Dimming Of The Day

This old house is falling down around my ears
I'm drowning in a river of my tears
When all my will is gone you hold me sway
I need you at the dimming of the day

You pull me like the moon pulls on the tide
You know just where I keep my better side

What days have come to keep us far apart
A broken promise or a broken heart
Now all the bonnie birds have wheeled away
I need you at the dimming of the day

Come the night you're only what I want
Come the night you could be my confidante

I see you on the street in company
Why don't you come and ease your mind with me
I'm living for the night we steal away
I need you at the dimming of the day
I need you at the dimming of the day

12. 'Under the Bridge' by the Red Hot Chili Peppers
Sometimes I feel
Like I don't have a partner
Sometimes I feel
Like my only friend
Is the city I live in
The city of Angels
Lonely as I am
Together we cry

I drive on her streets
'Cause she's my companion
I walk through her hills
'Cause she knows who I am
She sees my good deeds and
She kisses me windy and
I never worry
Now that is a lie

I don't ever wanna feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
I don't ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all that way (yeah yeah yeah)

It's hard to believe
That there's nobody out there
It's hard to believe
That I'm all alone
At least I have her love
The city she loves me
Lonely as I am
Together we cry

I don't ever wanna feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
I don't ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way (yeah yeah yeah)
Ooh no (no no yeah yeah)
Love me I say yeah yeah

Under the bridge downtown
Is where I drew some blood
Under the bridge "
I could not get enough
Under the bridge "
Forgot about my love
Under the bridge "
I gave my life away (yeah yeah yeah)
Ooh no (no no yeah yeah)
Here I stay yeah yeah

Here I stay...

Half the time I relate. The other half the time I mock because they're as good as actors as they are musicians; ain't no way any of them can be single. :7

19. I found this one for you RL..and for the friend I lost:
I MISS You, Friend

Wet tears
fail to wash away dry tear pain
wordless fury smolders in a long held
fight to free the freedomless.
shattered mind
seeking increments of sanity
to sodder fleeting particles of sense into
one whole thought.

Ah, my dear dear friend,
you gave life and limb in many ways
to heal from small child
terrors. Loveless times,
Torture scenes, clear messages
drawn in living words
by all your inner selves
defying the, "No talk" rule

I have your gifts,
and letters full of
sharing
love, doubt and fear,
unanwered questions,
longing just to sit beside me
while I type,
lean against me quietly, simply
BE.

Dry tear Pain
beneath wet tears
mingles with the
silent echo of your
weeping unheard child

Your passing
robs me of a friend beloved
our sharing
mutual loves and interests
Nature, beauty, music, reading
Art and colors,
Soul musings

but so much more, it deepens
my desire to
seek a
future restoration
for others known, unknown,
who live in Hope
one step after another
built upon the
strivings of your victories
and every
breath of faith exhaled
from past and present
seekers of their
Whole

I miss, you friend,
more than heart could ever show,
or would,
but Rainbow colors were our
backdrop 'gainst
tomorrow

Today they shimmer through
dark cloud.
Tomorrow
we see clearly.

21. System of a down - Lonely day
If you need help feeling depressed .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SnPiVFgiB0

"Lonely Day"

Such a lonely day
And its mine
The most loneliest day of my life

Such a lonely day
Should be banned
It's a day that I can't stand

The most loneliest day of my life
The most loneliest day of my life

Such a lonely day
Shouldn't exist
It's a day that I'll never miss
Such a lonely day
And its mine
The most loneliest day of my life

And if you go, I wanna go with you
And if you die, I wanna die with you

Take your hand and walk away

The most loneliest day of my life
The most loneliest day of my life
The most loneliest day of my life
Life

Such a lonely day
And its mine
It's a day that I'm glad I survived
