6. What is a myspace whore?

What do people do on myspace? I have some kind of thing where i can login, but not a page,and I go there and look and it looks like you list your preferences of music and your vital stats, and all that, and then people can come and say hi down on the lower right side, and all that...what else goes on there? Is there more going on behind the scenes? Is there a hot tub? What motivates people to form a page, in all seriousness, beyond listing preferences? Is there a lot of communication going on between the people there, like there is here? Questions, questions, questions.

is it behind the scenes somehow? because I don't see it going on there. It just looks like people say "hi" and then someone says "hi" back. Is this stuff that you have to have a page up to experience or understand? I mean like at DU you can lurk here and see everything but pm's and searches, and it's enough to make you want to join. But there...I think some of the pages are kind of cute but they must keep the activity behind the scenes because it just doesn't seem like there is an awful lot going on. I am asking in earnest...I really want to know what people do there.

you know, that really is a serious question, because I don't understand the mechanics of myspace and if there is more going on behind the scenes than is visible just by going to the pages and looking at them. What is so off-putting about someone asking something so simple in earnest?

But you can google free myspace stuff and they give you the HTML codes to enter, just cut and paste.
