7. Pick up some Lysine too
1000 mg of Lysine per day will shorten the time you have it and make it less severe at its' peak pain.
Really. Lysine is in the vitamin section. It is an amino acid.

Lysine is helpful for both canker sores and cold sores.

5. This is about the best. It will sting like hell for a second
but really only time will heal them.

I never new that stuff was for anything else until I was an adult.

8. Check out the Rembrandt toothpaste canker sore formula.
It's done wonders for me. It won't help once a sore has developed, but after I started using it I could tell they were less frequent. Also, this may be TMI, but I noticed the canker sores were a lot worse when I went back on the pill for a few months. Once I got off the pill, voila, hardly any more canker sores.

9. inside your mouth, I take it? OK just go to the drugstore and
get yourself some Extra Strength Mylanta liquid and some generic Benadryl (diphenhydramine) liquid. Mix a little of the Mylanta and the Benadryl together..you don't want a lot of the benadryl, just enough to make the mylanta a little pink.

You can swish this around in the mouth, dab with a qtip or cotton swab. Repeat whenever you feel like it.

The mylanta heals and sooths the sore and the benadryl numbs it a little.

From my mother's oncologist.

10. Canker sore? Staph infection? Ingrown toenail?
You are in rough shape tonight. But there's always a bright side. At least you don't have pine needles in your thigh.
