My company is closed, but after we learned last Wednesday that they gave handsome bonuses to the big cheeses and nada to us peons, there ain't a lot of good will there.

Guess we are "rewarded" with an extra day off.

I could have taken a vacation day today but I was looking forward to a quiet day of organizing my stuff (I'm such a packrat) with no interference from anybody. This guy specifically told everybody he would NOT be coming in today.

And to let me know what I'm in store for today he began the morning gushing about how Bushie was coming to town this Monday, and isn't it great that he comes here so often??? (St. Louis)

Where my office is we have a pretty much wide open view of the airport, and it's really funny to see these guys (all professionals, no less) crowd the windows whenever Air Force One is due in.

and everybody took the day off. Those of us who are 12-monthers have to charge it as a vacation day.

My company gives its employees Xmas and the day after off and also New Year's and the day after. Plus I had some unused vacation time. But alas, I have to go back on Monday.
