Post a fact about yourself that no DUer knows about yet.
For example, I'm a 2nd-degree black belt in Shorei-Ryu karate.

You??

...I got absolutely plastered with Darrell Evans and Jesse Barfield when they were in Spain on the Ambassadors of Baseball Tour in 1995. Darrell Evans can drink like no other carbon-based life-form I've ever seen. It was awe inspiring. Jesse was more chill. Both enjoyed the scenery of the club we were at.

88. Meh- I Don't Like Snakes
was riding my horse and a rattler was in the sage brush in a gulley and it scared the shit out of me and the horse and I thought I was going to get thrown from that horse as the rattler did his rattle thing.

I was but 12 or so years old at the time.

Wasn't fond of snakes before that.

Just as soon shoot water moccasins as look at them, and copperheads scare the bejeebus out of me because they are so aggressive seeming.

Garter snakes, I can handle them

King snakes, eh, not too bad

but you get that viper head (and they all can look like vipers to me)

and I'm out of there.

I'm a pretty handy guy around the house and do all sorts of things like plumbing, carpentry, plastering, etc. But I am scared shitless of anything electrical. The only time I ever hire a contractor to do work for me is when it has anything to do with electricity.

with Gary Burghof. We were talking almost two hours before I realized who he was. I kept thinking this guy looks really familiar, but I couldn't put it together. He was visiting his folks in the bay area and likes to fish. We talked about the a lot of things and I told him I had serviced I had spent three years in Uijongbu when I realized he was radar. Neither of us caught anything, but we had a good time. A couple weeks later I ran into him at the Home Depot and he actually remember my name and we talked a few minutes.

42. There's nothing I enjoy more than being flamed. As such, I must point out
that in my opinion (repeat: in my opinion), leaving politics aside and just concentrating on music, Bruce Springsteen is the most overrated singer / songwriter who ever lived, and by a mile. I'm not just saying that to get flamed, either. Every time I hear any song of his or hear someone talk about how great of a musician he is, I roll my eyes and try to burp so as not to throw up in the (stereo) speakers or the face of the speaker(s). I'm sorry, but he fucking sucks - even if he generally has his head screwed on right politically.

44. I'm terrified of many medical prcedures and unfamiliar medications
nearly to the point of being phobic. I've had two traumatic experiences--one was an "awake" c-section where the anesthesia got botched, and the other was a procedure to insert a biliary drain tube where the Versed and Fentanyl didn't work *at all* and I basically got tied down to a CT scan table, stabbed into a very tender, infected organ in my belly with a sharp steel rod while completely awake, aware, and NOT numb. And no, the Versed didn't make me "forget" it later, like it was supposed to.

Therefore I am absolutely TERRIFIED of any medical procedure more invasive than the insertion of a simple IV. I've been suffering from kidney stones for months because I'm too afraid to keep my lithotripsy appointment.

this was in the early years of the holiday, when most Caucasians (I am one) hadn't quite caught on to it yet, so I did get some, ah, inquisitive looks on the bus... We marched right past Fats Domino's house. You could tell it was Fats Domino's house because it had the letters "FD" emblazoned all over the front of it.

I coat my fried chicken in Wheaties, not Corn Flakes.

I let my cats roam outside, but I've declawed them and had their teeth removed.

Kirstie Alley is in my harem, along with Britney, Paris and that Lohan girl.

I own 4 Olive Garden franchises.

Veal is my middle name.

I won't breastfeed a child that doesn't smoke. In public.

My H2 runs on biodiesel, but I still put in 93 octane. From Exxon.

I killed the electric car.

The "Dean scream"??? Yeah, that was me. I'm a ventriloquist.

I dropped a nuke on Christmas. That's why the war on it is over.

I own the copyright on Stem Cellphones.

I pierced Janet Jackson's nipple. That whole "malfunction" was a promo for my services.

I gave peace a chance, but it disappointed me. So I say, "fuck peace anyway" eh?

Really. I was attending his jazz clinic at the University of Redlands (California) and taking basic improvisation when he came into the class and sat down at the piano. Several of us were selected to come up in front of class and solo while he comped. I was selected! That was in the summer of 1968.

At least I jammed with Stan as much as a beginning jazzer could jam...

puppy and kitten, not because of stuff, and we delayed Christmas dinner for a day so we could share it with the neighbors, and you know that's the real spirit of Christmas, to share with neighbors if you don't have any family right handy, right?

So what came out of your kitchen? Make me hungry...

My parents are native English speakers but also speak French and were trying to get me to grow up with both, and like a dickhead I resisted because I was stupid enough to think (remember, I was young and narrow-minded) that French was a language for women, English was for men, and men who spoke French sounded ridiculous. Amazing what an obtuse little asshole I was back then.
