Christmas, year end or what not bonus question
In light of ll the talk about executive bonuses - How many of you received a gift, or bonus for the holidays this year?

I work for one of the top 3 cable providers and as an employee we didn't even get a card. Not from our local manager or from corporate. Pretty lame. Tis the season!

And all the gifts that have come in from clients? The partner took them all home for himself.

3. I got an actual Chistmas bonus.
Instead of a bonus based on performance. I get one every year. My company rocks.

4. I got one.
It was generous considering we lost a very large client this year.

7. Mommy's don't get bonuses
I did however get homemade cards and ornaments made out of popsicles sticks, so I guess it evens out in the end.

9. I get an annual bonus, but not 'til March.
Not sure why the two-month delay. We have no idea how big the bonus will be, and won't know until March.

10. Stingy
we used to get decent bonuses, but the past few years we refer to them as "Rear End Dividends."

11. I got one, but not as much as last year ***
***Even though I answered my cell phone and fielded a call from my boss while I was still in the hospital less than 24 hours after giving birth and working through my maternity leave at home.

I'm thinking the partner of my firm in charge of the year end stuff like this can kiss my ass.

The only reason I bitch is because I handle all of our firm's accounting and I've seen what everyone got.

Again, I'd like to mention that he is a complete and total asshat.

13. I was pleasantly surprised
in the past years we've received a check for $25.00 less taxes.. ($24.47)

last week we were told we wouldn't be getting any christmas bonus...

but today... with the paychecks, we were handed a giftcard, the amount based on senority. I've been with the company since Jan. 1999, I got a $50 giftcard to walmart.

14. Well, they call it a bonus
I work at a grocery store and the so-called "bonus" that we get is a certificate good for 10% off a single shopping trip. This excludes alcohol, dairy and various other products, it's given to us a week before Christmas and expires on the 31st of December. If I had a family of 6, it might help a bit - with two people in the house (and not including booze), it's worth about 6 or 7 bucks. :nuke:

16. I have never received a Christmas bonus.
And the year I started working for the current non-profit I'm at was the year they stopped giving out bonuses. But we've got excellent benefits, so I really can't complain.
