I rake 'em to keep 'em from turning into mulch. I'm not a gardener or anything, and the last thing I want is a soggy back yard, not to mention the mold.

We've got curb-side recycling of green waste, and I managed (with a lot of tamping) to get it all into a 96-gallon bin. I'm not sure, but I think the disposal company might mulch it and sell it or perhaps give it away.
