The product (*gift*) so good they can't keep it in stores
You know those plastic packages that seem to be formed around the product inside. They are often used for electronic stuff and are next to impossible to open. You can cut them with scissors but then you have sharp often jagged edges to contend with….well you may not know this but there are several products available that open these containers with little or no hassle.

I had seen ads on TV for them so I went looking for one. I had called one of the ads but there was no company name given and they asked for all of my personal information over the phone-not a good idea. I googled “plastic package opener” and found this site
http://www.myopenx.com/
If you open it the site doesn’t look very trustworthy so I called the 800 number, it wasn’t a customer service line it was some guys voice mail. I was trying to find out if they were sold in stores.

I mentioned this at the office Holiday party last week and one of my co-workers mentioned the Kohl’s might have it in their “As seen on TV” section. They didn’t but the salesperson told me that she was sure she had seen one at the SUPER Target next door. Nope but they said Home Depot might….NOPE they steared me towards Best Buy… NOPE they mentioned Bed, Bath, & Beyond…NOPE. But in this fruitless search I discovered something. Both Target AND Best Buy used to carry this item but they didn’t any more

Want to guess why?

Go ahead guess

Seems that it became a common practice for people to come into the store, open up this item, and proceed to open up the plastic packages of the merchandise and walk out with said items.

Yep this thing works so well they can’t afford to keep them in stock.

That is the truth.

I wonder why they just don’t but the opener in one of those plastic packages.

1. I thought that was going to be your punch line - that it comes in an unopenable package...
...but the real reason reminds me of the customers at B&N that came up to the info counter and asked if we had a photocopier they could use... :eyes:
