We finally broke down and turned on the furnace tonight!

I wanted to make it through the winter without turning it on.

4. Long story short!
Moved in August from Minnesota to SoCal. I would have had the furnace on in Minnesota by November 15th. But here, I was not expecting to turn it on at all. But even *I* had to admit that night time temperatures dipping below 40 calls for turning on the heat.

8. Woodstove works great...
plus, a bud of mine has his own sawmill, so I got TONS of free scraps/wood blocks to build up my supply...:D

Same goes for here, I guess...some (not our esteemed DUers) think my city is frozen tundra...when we get a 95 degree heat wave, they find it unbelievable. :hi:

And I'm in a valley, about 250 feet above sea level.

Colder'n that north of San Francisco; I heard 26 in Napa.

17. Have been having heavy frost the last few mornings here

But, at least the cold temps keep the Tule fog at bay! And that's a good thing!
