when pop/rock/country stars record Christmas music, do
you ever see it as gimmicky? Just going for guaranteed airplay about two months of the year?

Am I beig to cynical? It just seems that a lot of these covers are pretty much the same as all the other versions and just smacks of "me too, I want in." Sometimes it is by artists I quite like and respect, but I just get the feeling they phoned it in to get some product out.

And on another note--has anybody addressed the obviously sorcerous overtones to what can only be the satanic song "Frosty the Snowman?"
