Sign up for deadpool 2007

Now is the time to sign up for the upcoming 2007 season in my deadpool. You don't have to do much, and it is free. The rosters of fogeys are randomly assigned at the start of the season. There are various ways to designate fogeys to get yourself points. After that, just sit back and wait for e-mail updates when a fogey passes. All that is necessary now is just sending me a DU private message saying you want to play in 2007 and I will send along details.
I'm looking forward to the best DPool season ever next year with a full season of implementing all the new rules we just made up.

In 2007 celebrity couples will be added as a category. We'll be awarding points for a breakup.

3. It's morbid, but "ghoul pools" and "dead pools" have been around a long time.

They used to have one circulating where I worked 20 years ago.

4. I used to be in one but they had players who made it a project

They would research all of these famous people in areas I knew nothing about such as science, econ., abstract art, avant garde playwrights. The only qualification was that the person had to have his obit in the NY Times. You got extra points for people who weren't particularly old or known to be sick. There was also a category of natural disaster. I missed the flood in China by only one year!

I found the supermarket tabloids to be excellent at reporting health conditions of old movie/TV stars and country music singers of just about any age. That's how I got Jack Lemmon and Gregory Peck. It's just hard to keep up with them (unless you buy them and take them home and I would never do that).

Everybody had Pope John Paul on their list so you didn't get much for him. One prochoice woman was so mad she put the entire RC hierarchy of cardinals on her list.

People used to look at us funny for doing this. Also, as people got older, their spouses or other family members were dying more often so you didn't want to go around talking about your deadpool in front of them!

Like my fantasy football league (which awards points for criminal acts), my fantasy dpool league is different from any other I have seen. In my deadpool the fogeys are all assigned randomly at the start ot the season. There are categories you can put your fogeys in like Franchise Fogey or Manchurian Candidate... there's a playoff season at the end called Chase for the Coffin which is modeled after NASCAR's Chase for the Cup. I hope some of you folks sign up. It is free, what more can I say?

6. Hockey fans have "goon pools"

You get points when your guys take penalties, the worse the infraction the better, and you lose points when your guys get goals or assists.
