he's a good actor who I'm generally a fan of but his "American" accent was about as bad as it comes in mainstream films. I've run accross atleast a dozen people who didn't even know he wasn't just speaking in a British accent or trying to sound American.
In no county on no continent do people commonly talk like that. It's a transatlatic mangled attempt that's I guess thankfully overshadowed by so much other goodness in that movie.
Matt Dillon would have been the best choice for Dwight. I hope it was offered to him.
Truth be told, I was praising it out of my ass. I just wanted to sound upbeat. Matt Dillon would've been great, and you'll hate me for this, but I think Tim Roth would have been okay too.
