Things that I like about California.
The "Weed" rest area.
The Yreka Bakery
State of Jefferson
Mt. Shasta
Lake Shasta
The Central Valley in winter.
Rest area with olive trees and "warning: rattlesnakes!" signs
Long stretches of empty highways going through the desert
Orange groves
the San Joaquin valley.
the Hollywood hills
palm trees (so many interesting varieties!)
L.A.
Freeways that are better than Seattle's
Disneyland
Ocean Beaches near San Juan de Capistrano
the Channel Islands
The Big Sur coast.
Monterey
Castroville
Garlic-mart!
San Fransisco
the Golden Gate Bridge
the Redwood Forest
Eureka

And those are just a few things off the top of my head.

2. As a transplant from one of the neatest places in the country to live
(Vermont), I love many things about California.

The diversity of people and landscape.
The Pacific Ocean
Redwood trees
Mule deer
Yosemite
San Francisco
The Santa Cruz mountains
Santa Cruz, Capitola, all the cool, funky beach communities
Friendly people
WINE!
Incredible weather
Classic cars
Artichokes
The amazing array of plant and animal life
Acceptance of people's lifestyles
That hunky Californian I live with

I feel very fortunate to call two of the coolest places in the country home - the Bay Area and Vermont.

9. YES THE FOOD! The huge variety of food here is great
one can taste food from all over the world here in California
One can experience many different cultures here, too.

California has the most amazingly diverse landscapes and peoples anywhere.

I happen to really love it here.

I wouldn't move back east for anything!

10. Hogly Wogly's?
I've seen it around but I've never been. Maybe I should try it sometime. I love Maria's Kitchen.
