Resolved: there are two violently opposing forces ruling the universe--gravity and scotch tape
My school won't let us use the sturdier tape to show off students' projects on our walls (it peels off the sheetrock) so I have to use scotch tape. Problem is, gravity and its insideous ally, AC generated humidity, conspire to tear down artwork mounted on anything heavier than the lightest of construction paper. When my children see their posters lying on the classroom floor later this morning, I hope they don't start crying. Juniors can be so emotional.

1. Try UHU HoldIt
made by Eberhard Faber, and available in office supply
stores.

It has the consistency of modeling clay.
Put a little ball on each corner and press against wall.
Peels back off with no damage and can be reused.
