1. I hate James Blunt.
He makes Coldplay look like AC/DC. :puke:

That song makes me want to dig my ear drums out with a dull rusty knife.

21. i love him
that one song though is the worst of the album(but still good).

this is coming from a chick who likes coldplay and james blunt, but also likes to rock out with some heavy stuff too...

my vote this year would go to "crazy" though.

10. He's annoying but
I love every song he makes.

That's just the style of music I like.

Just anything that makes me move.

24. I wanted so bad to not like his latest album.
I heard "Sexyback" and I thought " not bad " but I did not want to give him credit for something good. Cut to a couple of months later and I hear "My Love " and all is forgiven. I like that song because its a love song from a guy - something we don't hear that often these days on radio in the genre that Justin is trying to appeal to. The things that he are saying in that song - talking about settling down , seeing the two of them holding hands walking on the beach toes in the sand , girl I want you - that is the stuff that I deep down would want a guy to say to me and that's why I love that song. I think he has a chance to win Best Album.

4. RHCP is the only band
by "band" I mean musicians with instruments. I know that the Chicks play and so does Blunt, but they suck

12. The radio "kills" every song
But some are still good even after they've been "killed"

I hated that Crazy song though from the first time I heard it. :puke:

22. Best song of the year
Period.

I don't listen to the radio so I'm not over saturated by the rare good song. Crazy is an awesome song nonetheless. It works as a slow song, it works as an upbeat song. It's very rare that I can play a video or song over and over and not get burnt out on it. Crazy is one and KT Tunstall's Black Horse is another from this year that I can play over and over and still love as much as the first time I heard them.

23. Ok so that's an exaggeration
Most anything off of Cat Power or Radio 4's cd's are better but Crazy was the best mainstream song of the year.

Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal nominees are Coldplay with "Talk," the Fray for "How To Save A Life," the Raconteurs for "Steady, As She Goes," Red Hot Chili Peppers for "Dani California" and U2 & Green Day for "The Saints Are Coming."

15. Dixie Chicks tell freepers and radio to fuck off!
Edited on Thu Dec-07-06 09:57 PM by Maestro
Nominated for album and song of the year plus three more. I love it! In the electronica category three of my favs are nominatated, Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers and Kraftwerk (but they should get a lifetime award!) In dance, both Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys were nominated for best song! Plus Pet Shop Boys were nominated for best album. Yeah! They really deserve it. Fundamental is an incredibly good album. In my good ole metal category, Slayer, Mastodon, Lamb of God, Stone Sour and Ministry are all nominated! That one is a toss-up. It's nice to see Ministry nominated two years in row with decidedly anti-* songs! In fact, Slayer's album is anti-*, Pet Shop Boys' album song of the year I'm with Stupid is. The Dixie Chicks contributions are as well. In the hard rock category, you have Nine Inch Nails, System of a Down and Tool. Nine Inch Nails and System of a Down are decidedly anti-*. So are many of the other nominees.

18. In an attempt to appeal to every demographic
once again the Grammy people prove they have lost touch with what good music is in any genre. If the free publicity they give to nominees didn't help sales then they would be completely irrelevant.

I understand sales have to factor into this but Justin Timberlake? Album of the Year? :wtf:

I'd like to see Lupe Fiasco win rap album of the year but not enough to sit through the show.
