Raise Your Hand If You're Staying In Tonight
All my friends have deserted me to the four corners of the globe. :(

So I'll be home, ringing in the new year from my house for the first time since the 90's.

Who's gonna be with me? Is DU gonna be a ghost town tonight or is this place gonna be rockin' ?

50. I'm not going anywhere.
Too many crazy drunks on the road. Plus, I always fall asleep before midnight anyhow.

9. We're staying in at my house, but having friends over.
It's the usual deal with us. Somehow hanging out with drunks, and then trying to drive home on the same roads they are, has lost it's appeal.

27. I never go out on New Year's Eve . . .
just never appealed to me, and the holiday itself has never been a big deal in my book . . . I'm quite content to sit at home and watch a movie . . . or maybe the Iron Chef marathon . . . or catch a buzz and listen to some good tunes . . . may watch the ball drop, just because the phrase always struck me as funny . . . :)

whether you're staying in or going out, have a safe evening and a healthy and happy New Year! . . .

29. I'm probably not going out NYE
I prefer house parties to going out on the town, anyway. There's more snow predicted tonight, so I'd rather stay out of the way of drunk Seattle drivers who don't know how to drive in snow even while sober.

was gonna go hang with my best friend like I do every year. But her in-laws decided to invite themselves over without asking her. Stupid in-laws. x(

Instead I'm gonna grab a bottle of wine on the way home. I'll go for a jog or to the gym or something. Then come home, light a candle or two, and try to make sense out of the past year. Then maybe contemplate what I want out of the coming one.

55. Not since...
Some friends/bandmates were killed in an auto accident on NYE 1989. I used to throw parties, but now I stay home and start taking down the Christmas stuff. My wife gets a little depressed because we don't party it up and frankly, neither do our friends. I suppose that's one of the joys of parenthood.
