I'm a long-time lurker, rarely post. I'm in a conundrum. I saw a post in GD that was very germaine to stuff I've been goin' thru the last few weeks....should have started in this forum:

So, I re-iterate, or maybe clarify, when/where does a "financially responsible" woman draw the line with a soulful, wonderful man completely unconcerned with finances? You don't know me, you don't know him, but generally how do these things go down?

1. If you have to ask just stay home alone.

Money is great stuff but it doesn't really buy you a person you can talk to and have fun with. If you aren't smart enough to hold on to that person then you deserve your eventual future as a cat lady.

Do the math. Men are allowed to date 10 to 15 years younger than they are and have no stigma about "dating down" as long as the physical package is there. Case in point. My ex now married to man 17 years her senior. He left wife and merely 6 years junior to him.

Your money is yours; his is his. If you want company in Paris go with a friend or pay his fare but don't bitch about it even once either way.

You, OTOH, expect to get the whole buffet on one plate. Get real or get a cat.
