Does anyone else love this movie? It's weird because I don't like violent movies at all but this is one of my favorites, lots of favorite scenes and favorite lines...

One of the comments was about the importance of seeing it on a big screen.... to get the impact of those vast, frozen tundras of snow, and the sad music.

on edit - Loved the movie. Didn't we recently have a thread full of those great lines from Fargo?

I lived in Fargo when this movie came out.

Saw it in the theatre there. Most Fargoans walked out at the end, scratching their heads.
We don't talk like that. Hee hee.

Now, I live in Brainerd. Go figure. And NO..there is no Margie Gunderson up here.

Loved the movie. Just loved it. And..brownies? I'm there.

I use it all the time in real life and people never get it...well, that's actually my second favorite line. My real favorite line is "He wasn't circumcised." :rofl: :rofl:

The Coen Brothers made that part up, too. Stuff of the sort represented in the movie has happened, but it's not based on any one case in Minnesota or anywhere else.

15. I love that movie...

especially Marge. She represents the best of the Upper Midwest to me, as she is stoic, down-to-earth, has common sense, intelligence, strength and kindness. And the lecture she gives to the killer(s) at the end is just perfect.
