MLA documentation experts...Question...
I'm having issues with my in-text citation of sources.

I'm citing several polls by the same organization in one section of my paper- how do I cite them, parenthetically (I already note the organization's name, in text.)

also:

If I devote an entire page to numerous quotes from the same source (they're quotes from the text of Gore's concession speech,) how do I cite each of those quotes, parenthetically? There aren't any page numbers- I got it from a news site online.

I know I should remember this stuff, but it's so BORING, I just never retain the specifics of certain aspects of it. I hate this part of paper writing. I have two more major papers to write in the next week. Thanks for any wisdom you can offer!

4. No. And it's due in a week.
It has to be a comparison of Bush's speech on 9/11/01, and his 9/11/06 address.

That's easiest one of three I have to do.

If you want to choose your own subject...maybe you can get extra credit. Got a good idea?

5. I know some protocol for source citation
But I know not of this "MLA" thing of which you speak, so I fear misinformation. :scared:

7. Crappers.
My best friend taught a course on, of course, APA. Not MLA. Oh no... that would be too easy!

8. Yeah- everyone seems to know APA. Blah.
It's a paper for my Analysis of Public Discourse class. Lots of politics in it, but it's a Communication course (that's my major).

9. Cool, I Think Communications Is A Good Degree
BA/BS
or grad school

I'm a clinical social worker MSW, and I think that more communications courses would have been useful to me since that is what I deal with.

My dad taught mass communications, but that is probably different.

I've always been interested in communications and learning styles in terms of helping people learn things better. Especially if you are dealing with groups of people who have different learning styles, finding ways to reach all of them is important.

Yeah, APA is pretty common but I couldn't even tell you what to do there.

I may go back and get my PhD in public policy, and I have no idea what kind of style they will require. It's an interdisciplinary degree, with faculty that is pretty impressive for University of Arkansas.
There also may be some opportunity to take some courses from the Clinton school of government in that degree. Exciting for me!

Sorry, i'm babbling

11. Cool!
I'm still working on my BA.

It integrates speech communication and mass communication. I particularly enjoy the mass comm end of things. The major works well for me, because it focuses on the things I love the most- writing, politics, culture, public speaking, media studies, and rhetoric. I'm minoring in professional writing and communication, which is an integrated minor including communication, linguistics, and composition courses. I have no idea yet what I'll actually do when I'm done, but I like it!
