I can't log in to DU on my new laptop

I tried deleting cookies, but to no avail.
I am able to make changes to my journal, but every time I log in, DU fails to register, and I am not logged in.
Has anyone else had this problem? How did you get through it?

1. did you forget your password?

did you have the password saved on your old machine? maybe you got it wrong.

when I type in the wrong password, DU prompts me to type in the correct password.

9. Check your security settings for your cookies

It's in internet options under the privacy tab. If it is set to high it could block the cookie that keeps you logged in.

Also try clearing your temporary internet files.

3. Could it be an ISP problem?

I had a problem with a site I use to work and that's what it was, had to write in some dos into notepad and it fixed it.
There is someplace on IE, if you are using that, where you can type in accepted sites.

Hope someone comes along who know something that can help you mdmc, it's so frustrating to work with computers sometimes.

hae this one on a short cut to du and already has me logged on. or i am assuming that is why i cannot log in on any other computer. i am computer illiterate btw

Reboot then try again. Do you have a firewall running>? Are your security settings (in explorer: tools/internet options/security/default) on "medium"?

14. It is microsoft internet explorer causing the problem.

Check your pop up settings. Also you might try putting it in as a trusted site. I remember having a heck of a problem with certain sites when I got my new PC. Inernet Explorer caused a lot of pain. It was to locked down. If that doesnt help, try downloading Mozilla firefox and use that instead of internet explorer.
