What is the temp where you live.
Right now it is 38 but feels like 29 with wind gust between 15 and 20.

This is tropical Houston, Texas.

No rain, sleet,or ice.

6. With the wind blowing it sounds like ghosts are in the attic.
My animals like the woodburning shove, sleeping all around it.

A good night to stay home and enjoy a nice fire.

15. 25 in Denton
last night we had freezing rain all night, this morning it stopped and as I was scraping ice off the windsheild it started sleeting real hard. Then it snowed this afternoon and early evening. I'm not sure what it is doing now (precipwise) and I'm not sure I want to know.

31. I have a friend from a cold state who comes to Houston to escape the winter.
Everytime she comes it gets cold here.

She always just misses the warm weather by a few days.

Guess who is here now, it is warmer back in her home state.

34. They usually show people on the TV news here, who are from some place where it's
really cold, and they are on vacation here in San Diego. They expected it to be in the 70s or even 80s, in the winter, and they get here during a cold spell or a winter storm - and they are sitting on the beach and it's 50 degrees with a chilly wind. They always say, "Oh, this is nothing to us, we're used to 20 below zero." But you can see that they aren't really enjoying it all that much. I feel sorry for those people who spend hundreds of dollars to get here and stay in a hotel, and then the weather ends up being not much different from where they were at home.

36. My friend is really not happy.
She was looking forward to some 70 or 80 degree weather, so she could walk on the beach.

I told her she still could but she would need to wear a coat.

...so it doesn't feel that cold.
perfectly cloudless sky....nearly half moon....with no clouds, no wind, it will cool off quickly here but after a wildly mild NOvember we may have to pay our dues.

33. yeah. but it really doesn't FEEL that cold.
I went out a while ago and I could hear two Great Horned Owls hooting at each other...i think they both claimed the woodlot behind my house as their hunting ground...kind of interesting....
it will get a lot colder here than 8F before we're done....at least 15 days WELL below Zero and half that many way, way below zero...
