Monster House kicks ass!

I'm not usually a lounge lizard, but I just rented "Monster House," after seeing that it made Rolling Stone's "Top 25 DVD's of 2006" list, and it is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Definitely NOT for the kiddies! I wouldn't let a young kid near this movie. But the story and the animation incredible, and the "special features" on the disk are also cool. Don't be scared off cuz you thought it was a kid's flick. This is Speilberg and Zemeckis material; what makes it really awesome is that apparently they bought it from some guy right out of film school. It was his first project (not the actual movie, rather the script). It brings a whole new insight into cranky old men who scream "GET OFF MY LAWN!" Lots of subtle adult jokes in there, too.
