7. That was either a bad skunk, or good coffee!
That's what my son says when we get a whiff of dead skunk in the middle of the road.

And I must admit, when the skunk aroma is very dilute, it does remind you of fresh roasted coffee.

PS: I love coffee!

12. Spam
Yes, Spam. Brings back childhood memories of eating kraft mac'n'cheese and fried spam (NOT deep fried, seared in a pan). There were 6 kids, so mom would make a huge batch of m'n'c and 2 cans of spam, and it would actually feed all of us.

15. Cheesy 70's music, feathered hair, and ugly wood panels in the den
I'm a 70's girl. What can I say? I am SO cheezzzzzzzy.

I also like chicken (and crave it sometimes, but since I'm vegan, I can't have it anymore)
"Love Is" dolls and merchandise
Macrame thingies that hang on the wall
Old AM radios
Guys with shaggy, girly, cheesy feathered hair
Gay male porn
Bleu cheese and bleu cheese dressing
Old Seventies TV shows, and...

One long, pitch-black summer night with Tucker Carlson nobody and neither of us will ever speak about, complete with warm dark Seventies-decorated bedroom, cheesy songs playing on the stereo, a pouch of Pop Rocks, some bubble gum, both of us drunk on Boones' Farm strawberry, some flavored lube, a box of condoms, and our agreed, mutual silence about the above FOREVER.

22. Madonna. Got a problem with it?
Have loved her for about 17 years. I credit her with my coming out. I find her highly entertaining and always on the cutting edge of fashion and music. Her concerts are absolutely breathtaking. As a teen, I had over a thousand pictures of her plastering my bedroom walls and ceiling.

There. I said it. I feel much better.

30.  I know.
Because people don't get her. I've always thought she was essentially a performance artist who had just enough musical chops to make it in the pop world. Her cultural impact really can't be understated and anyone who denies that either doesn't understand the history of female sexual expression in this country or is just being a music snob.

She admitted on Larry King that she sees herself as more of a performance artist. Socially and culturally she has influenced not only progressive empowerment for women, but also gay men. She openly liked and spoke about us before if was cool to publicly embrace us.

Which probably doesn't mean much outside of the figure skating world, but since he's the skater everyone loves to hate, I freely and openly admit that I adore him.

38. mmmhmmm
that is the one. Are you an Eman fan too?

He's really the most brilliant skater out there. He came in fifth at Cup of Russia yesterday. It makes me sick because Joubert won CoR and TEB and he is so freaking unartistic it drives me nuts. Sandhu has such incredible potential, but his nerves get him. He used to have his version of "Purple Rain" playing when you went to his myspace, but I guess he took it down. He's such a great singer, and he models too, as I guess you know from the pic. I think he's taking acting classes as well. I did an online chat with him and a bazillion other fans on one of the figure skating sites and he was so amazing, just really humble and gracious. We talked about physics, believe it or not. He said he also wants to design rollercoasters someday. Just a great guy, all-around.

42. he's the bomb
his mother is an Italian opera singer and his dad is Pakistani. He started studying ballet when he is three which is why he is so cut. He has some of his modeling pics on his site if you go there, there's a link on the myspace. He can do a mean quad but his nerves trip him up a lot unfortunately in competitions and because of that he's never reached his full potential. I'd rather watch someone like him skate ANY DAY than Plushenko who is just like a machine with no artistry whatsoever. Emanuel is the whole package, but he's got problems with nerves in competition.

"Auntie Grizelda" may be one of my all-time favorite songs, period.

I'm not sure I understood it, but it FELT like pure genius, anyway. They were ahead of their time, anyhoo--how much ahead of MTV were they? Twenty years? When they played "The Monkees" on MTV back in the day, hell, it looked fresh!

online the other day and noticed the prices are heading south

I swear the work we did "staging" it to sell was what made the difference. we sold the first weekend we were in the paper. If you want a quick sale, do half your packing and any little maintence things BEFORE you have the first Open House. it makes a world of difference in how fast it sells and for how much

Blackberry Jelly or Marmalade will also do but Raspberry is the best. Thanks for getting me to admit that publicly....I am so out of the closet, the liberation has me positively giddy! I realize that this is but a start, some day I will muster up my courage, go down to my fave breakfast place, order me a Ham and Cheese omelet, and yes I WILL spread raspberry jelly over the entire top of it! Ok well maybe that may be a bit bold....perhaps I will seek an out of town restaurant to try that stunt at...(afterall what if someone I knew saw me do that???? Oh the shame, the embarrasment...), I think a Denny's along I-5 north of Seattle might do the trick.....
