Ok, pardon my ignorance, but what's this deep-fried turkey stuff everyone is talking about?

1. Try it, you'll like it.
It's more moist. Personally, I prefer smoked.

2. So what, you just put the turkey in a big tub of oil and fry it?
How long does that take? (sounds incredibly fatening, but I have no doubt it must be pretty good)

On a propane burner at 350 degrees. Hot oil seals in juices, not absorbed. Skin is super crispy. Peanut oil is best.

5. I think it is much better to use peanut oil though
The meat is very moist but use caution not to over cook..Bring the oil to the desired temp and follow directions Would you agree?

9. Oh, sorry...about 4 minutes per pound. Very fast compared to oven.

11. That says you can't put stuffing in it, though!
I'm not giving up my stuffing. And stuffing doesn't taste the same if you don't cook it in the bird.

6. it's incredibly dangerous, too!
I think some people like the thrillseeking aspect of knowing they could create a giant fireball if they make one false move.

It's a recipe for disaster if you're not super careful.

12. They mix well in reality, though.
I am not interested in the work involved in a deep fried turkey, but it tastes good! My dad has a turkey fryer.
