Who thinks Edward Norton would make a GREAT FDR in a historical film ?
Doesn't necessarilly have to be a birth-till-death biopic, but at some point in FDR's life that crosses Nortons age. Just killing time on wiki and it struck me. Norton is as good as it gets among actors of his generation, and there is a resemblance in my opinion.

1. EXCELLENT casting
Write the script. I'm on IMDB Pro and can give you the contact information to his production company. He'd love something like this. *I* want to see Edward Norton run for PRESIDENT FOR REAL. Have you read his opinions and past achievements in environmental issues, alone? The man's dynamite.

3. I don't see it getting better than "Warm Springs."
Sure, Kenneth Brannagh's an odd bit of casting. But the movie's great and lightning doesn't strike twice.

11. How true.
Fantastic movie with fantastic casting and performances. However, that film took place during a relatively small portion of FDR's life. I think there is one (or maybe more) great FDR film(s) to be made yet.

12. Almost way too hot, but I would say Linda Cardellini
People are used to better looking versions of historical figures in movies, but she's already played one this eras greatest heroes in Lindsay Weir, so she's capable of portraying an empowering character, plus there's a slight resemblance in the smiles.

14. we're both suggesting people who've been on ER
Plimpton wouldn't really do anything for me in the role. Minnie Driver could also work. But nobody shares that toothey-but-endearing smile I can think of like Linda does.

9. Yeah ! And with Sean Penn for USMC Gen Smedley D. Butler
to tell the story about the Bonus Army march on DC in the '32 election that put FDR in office...you even get to tell the story about the Business Plot to Seize the White House !

10. How about Chris Elliot as FDR? He's already done "FDR: A One-Man Show."
A must see!

But you're right, I'm sure Edward Norton would do a fine job.
