Sad news from the world of music. Ruth Brown passes on.

This makes me very sad and if you like music, regardless of genre, you should be sad as well. Ms. Brown passed away on November 17 after being on life support briefly. She won a Tony, some Grammys, and of course, numerous Handys. She also is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and rightfully so. Even if she wasn't a great songstress (she was), she should be honored for her work in making sure artists got the royalties due to them from greedy record company execs. RIP Ms. Brown. You will be missed.
