San Diego Padres interested in Barry Bonds.

He has hit more home runs in San Diego than in any other major league city, other than SF and Pittsburgh, where he played.
The Pads could use the offense but Bonds is truly hated down here.

Of course I find it even more remarkable that any team other than the Giants (and possibly Pittsburgh) would want him. Well, I suppose some really sorry AL team may want him as a pure ticket draw to hide the ineptitude of the rest of the team, i.e. Tampa Bay.
