My little Jessie girl is sick.
:( She is a two year old Shetland Sheepdog. She had really ( I mean really) bad gas this morning and I just figured she maybe got into something she shouldn't have. I took her with me over to my Mom and Dad's and she pooped on their carpet. She never poops in the house.:( She was crying, she was so embarassed. So I cleaned up and put her in the car to take home and she threw up in the car and cried all the way home. She is a little perkier tonight, but I believe my poor baby has the flu. She's drinking though.

I hate it when any of my children...human and furry are sick.

time and love will cure it
mine had it too, for a few days only. The worst symptoms were early, and he recovered quickly.

Yours will too!

4. Thank you GURU. It's difficult when they can't tell you that they "have to
go right now!!!" But she seems to be settled in for the night now.

Thanks again. :)

5. If she is not better by AM and stops drinking, I'll take her to the vet.
I toyed with the idea of emergency vet, but she doesn't seem to be in pain, is acting almost like her usual self, and is drinking water. So I am taking a wait and see attitude and hoping I am doing the right thing. :(

2. aww... sorry, Mrs.G-
if she's drinking, that's a good sign. See how she feels tomorrow and see if she can eat some lamb-and-rice food. If she can keep it down, she'll be OK. Probably just ate something she shouldn't have.

6. With two children I wouldn't be surprised if she got into some
Christmas candy. I couldn't tell what was in the vomit, but it didn't look like dog food.

3. I would take her to the vet to be on the safe side
Could she have ingested something? A vet will be able to diagnose what's wrong.

I hope Jessie gets well soon!

7. Thank you RationalRose. She's seems to be a bit more
comfortable this evening, but if she is still doing the runny poop, puke thing tomorrow I'm taking her in.
