Both candidates had a booth set up today at the Farmers' Market in our community. I gave each $20 and took some literature.

Both are fine candidates and I believe either could oust the junta and make an excellent President.

A few weeks ago, I gave some money to the Kucinich campaign at same location.

3. Good for you! ABB
Despite the bad vibes and downright hostility between supporters of the various Dem candidates here on DU, I continue to maintain that any Dem would be preferable to a second Bush term - which would be the most frightening challenge to this nation since the Civil War.

8. I was there about an hour before the market closed
So the crowd was dissipating.

Also, being the Saturday after Christmas, it probably wasn't a busy day at the market in any event.

7. The way those threads are . . .
. . . I'd have to schizie to do that.

I'll stick with the I/P forum. It's more civil and more informative.

9. Yay! Good job!
I am the same way. I have given to Clark and moveon.org, but I also plan to give to Dean. I like them both because they fight. I like the other candidates too, except for Joe, who has disappointed me with his lay-down attitude.

12. Good for you
While we all have our preferences and some candidates are definately better than others, any of the Democratic candidates would be better than Bush.

This may be the most important presiential election in American history. It is not hyperbole to say that very future of American democracy is at stake. We must defeat this imposter who lost the last election and seized power through fraud and manipulation. Bush has used his power to remunerate his cronies and restrict civil liberties. He has lied to drum up support for a proposed series of endless colonial wars that will benefit his wealthy friends to the detrement of working people in all parts of the earth. His promotion of black box voting is suspicious to say the least.

The greatest disadvantage our candidates have is that they are unknown. Each of them needs to get the word out to the public and let them know who he is. If not, Karl Rove will do that for each of them, except it Karl Rove's version of the truth. We should know by now that Karl Rove's truth is a pack of lies.

So, please, contribute to the candidate of your choice, or, as I have done, give to two or three good candidates. Make sure the message that gets out to the public is the one they want the public to hear, not the one the forked-tongued Rove wants.

makes you a Good Democrat.

You know I got a Christmas Card from Al Gore and his family. As you know he's endorsing Dean, and I'm supporting Wes Clark.
But in his card he wrote....
From our family to you and yours!
We wish for a wonderful and very Happy Holiday Season,
with Joy and Peace and Justice in the New Year.
He signed it:
Al and Tipper;Karenna and Drew Schiff,(and Wyatt and Anna, grandkids); Kristen, Sarah, and Albert.

With that I must admit Joy, Peace and Justice in the New Year is what we all want in 2004.
What you have just expressed my friend on your donating is,you're contributing to what we all want for our families and ourselves and we have more then one candidate that would do that.

Thanks Jack Rabbit for being that Good democrat and Friend, I admire!

on edit, ask you anything...How's GrandmaBear? Keeping you warm I bet....Happy New Year Friend! :hi:

14. Good going, JR!
I've done the same -- given to Dean, Clark, Kucinich, Edwards. Just giving to Democratic candidates is a good thing -- it's the bottom-line way in which the fight must be fought.

Well done -- and please do it again when you get a little bit ahead!

Thanks for being such a good Democrat! :toast:
