I feel bad after leaving a small tip...
I feel horrible after my friends and I went to the bar today. We didn't have too much $ (we're a buncha broke ass college students) and were kinda stupid in that we hadn't calculated for the tip beforehand. Instead we left less than a dollar, for what should been a few bucks.

Is it okay, if the next time I go there, to give the waitress a few more bucks for the tip? Or would it only work to give the tip if I have her as the waitress again (actually I wouldn't mind...she was kinda cute)...? I've never given such measley tip before and I do like the place and the service was good.

1. Next time you go there
make sure you are in the "area" of that particular waitress, and double tip her then. You can also get on her good side by apologizing for being stingy before, and now making up for it.

2. A little white lie might be in order..
Next time you go back, tell her that you did not know until after you got home, that the person who promised to leave the tip, did not have enough money...and they YOU give her the proper tip.. She will recognize you as a "stand up " person, and it gives you a perfect opportunity to talk to her too :)

3. I agree...
...and, if you're so inclined, you could make a special trip. If your recognition of her cuteness is a step toward getting to know her better, this could be your foot in the door, because she'll be very impressed at what a honourable and well-meaning person you are.

6. Double tip
And do it first thing, I had a regular bar I went to in college and I just made sure I went on the same night and got the same bartender and gave decent tips each time and the dividends were amazing, you pay for the service you get, but if you are a regular you get the services you paid for.

Shalom

7. Try very hard to go back
soon, within a day or two if possible, and give the tip to the waitress that she should have gotten.

Once I was supposed to leave the tip and then spaced out and I drove 45 minutes back to the place and apologized profusely as I gave the server the tip. I've never waited tables, never want to, but I've had my share of jobs dealing with the public, and I would never deliberately not tip or under tip other than when service was really crappy.
