Poll question: Halloween Poll: what's your favorite topic of these?
I'd say ghosts and other hauntings. Just have always had an interest.

3. There are.
:hi:

I am interested in several of those topics, so I didn't vote. It's hard to pick just one!

In no particular order, I am intrigued by Lily Dale (the town in New York that is a center of spiritualism), people who claim to have been haunted (and I've known several), legends of supernatural creatures (vampires and so forth), Celtic lore of various kinds, All Saints' Day, Dia de los Muertos, and witches. That last topic is a curly one, as it comprises both real witches and false beliefs about witches.

Confession: I was tempted to start a thread on Houdini or Lily Dale, just in honor of Halloween.

2. Ghosts/hauntings, followed by UFOs, followed by zombies
And it's a very close race between the three.

4. Hmmm. Probably ghosts/hauntings first, then vampires.

5. I read your poll as "What's your favorite topic of thesis?"
to which I nearly screamed. Having just finished my thesis a couple of months ago, I don't want to be reminded yet of the HORROR!

7. Evil Faeries from under the hill!
:bounce: :bounce:
The only way to see past the illusions is to go into the nursery and put baby balm around your eyes. Otherwise, by the time you get back out, everyone you knew and loved will be long dead...

9. Werewolves
followed by vampires...I wish there were more werewolf movies! btw, I just got Silver Bullet tonight! Yahoo!...:) Underworld, IMO, was awesome...a good mix of both creatures...

I wish a director would take the werewolf angle/roots, that the White Wolf company has taken with their w.wolves...those adaptions, IMO are the best I have ever seen/read about...
