My little dog has been selected as a finalist in the Nestle "Pet of the Month" contest for November, as my friend LoveMyCali's cat was for October. (Who won, thanks to you!) I don't know what possessed me to enter him, since now I'm going to be a wreck, too!:scared:

Please vote for my little Meneken. He's the sixth one down, on the left. He absolutely deserves to win. This pic of him smiling was taken this summer, doing his very favorite thing, riding on a boat. He just turned 13 this month. I just wish that they mentioned his being rescue, but I guess that they like to keep it short, unlike me... :D

since I'm pretty much computer illiterate I could be wrong but I think they mean that you can't set something up to automatically vote and to "stuff the ballot box."

The experience with Cali did teach me that you can vote more than once if you either use a different computer of delete your cookies. (she says as she skulks off to dump her cookies and vote again)

96. Well, something is obviously going on here with several of the others.

Some have had only four or five votes and when I look back, a few hours later, they are suddenly in the lead. They must be doing something. My friend voted for the other older dog because I said that's the one I'd vote for, if Meneken wasn't entered, because she had only a few votes, but suddenly she has 30 more than Meneken does. Somebody's doing something. I'm just pointing this out to people, hardly automatically generating votes or twisting arms. I just sent it to people I know and posted it for my friends on DU, telling them that my little guy is in this contest.:shrug:

Dog lovers and cat lovers usually feel quite strongly about their favorite but when Cali ran I had quite a few friends tell me, I don't really like cats that much but he really is handsome.
