I am evidently clueless. I just started a new job and work with a man who is 60, only about 5'6" and with a stud in one ear. His mannerisms are effeminate as is his voice and he is fearful of many things. Everything about his screams Duck! Duck! Duck! and near the end of the day he told me about how is wife had a double mastectomy and how they lost nearly all their savings do to the medical costs. He has 3 children and 6 grandchildren. But somebody else joked with him about wearing a skirt and he took no offense. Maybe he goes both ways. My thought is that is this day and age, if you are not gay and do not want to be mistaken as being gay, and have any mannerisms, lisp, or appearance that would make people think you are gay, then you would do what you could to change that mistaken belief.

Every time an acquaintance told me "I'm homosexual," it was a surprise to me. At least one person whom I always assumed was gay turned out to be straight as a board.
