Quick, name something that *isn't* what it is.
What's with this phrase:

"It is what it is."

Everyone's saying it! Mike Greenberg on ESPN radio says it two or three times an hour, and I'm sure he's not the worst case; I just happen to listen to his show on the way to work.

Everything is what it is. Duh.

Unless there are exceptions. Anyone have any?

i ALWAYS say that.

it means basically "there is nothing you can do about it you MORON. It IS what it IS"

most often used at work ;)
