What style of music are you listening to right now?
Thought I'd shake up the normal "listening to" thread this time. I'm listening to country right now. More specifically, samples from Vince Gill's 4-CD set These Days. I do want to get it, but not at iTunes. It's $25 to download it. You can get the set for a little over $20 at CD Universe.

Earlier today, I listened to pop (Lisa Palleschi samples - sounds beautiful - a mix of Sarah McLachlan and Michelle Branch) and rock (Duncan Sheik - Daylight.)

1. I'm not really sure.
The band is Cute is What We Aim For.... Rock - Pop - Indie Pop... Not really sure how to classify it.

They are lame but fun. Good music to clean the house to.

it is Meditation music, it is what is my 4 month old son likes and it is very soothing! I also listen to it at work, since my office buddy doesn't like any music in the office (I have it at a low volume.) However in my vehicle, I have Rob Zombie, NIN, etc. Just a metal head at heart.

Not a Clapton fan? then don't read this. :)

I saw him last Thursday night in Charlottesville, along with 16,000 other folks...more on this later.

His new album with JJ Cale (Cocaine, After Midnight) comes out Nov. 7. I'm listening to it now, online. Here's a review:

>>
Those who believe that Eric Clapton is not God will be delighted to know that J.J. Cale dominates most of this album (he wrote 11 of the 14 tracks). Others who caught on to Slowhand's '70s period when it was evident that all Clapton wanted was to be like Cale (he covered Cale's "Cocaine" and "After Midnight," among others, and blatantly adopted Cale's persona), should relish in a collaboration between the two that was long overdue. It's uncanny how much this slow burning, bluesy, twangy album sounds like a '70s Cale album with modern day production. Slowhand gets even slower.
- Eric Shea
>>

more on this album here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Road_to_Escondid

Ole Slow-hand has slowed down so much on this album that he, with JJ Cale's influence, sounds almost 'Dylan-esk.'
