Of all the lazy....(cats)
I was just wrapping presents on the bed and dumped a whole bunch of wrapping paper and scissors and books and other gifts off to one side.

I was rummaging through it looking for something and felt something fuzzy and warm. There's two cats under all that junk. One's purring. The other gave me a dirty look and went back to sleep.

You'd think they'd at least complain or something.

1. Don't let them swallow anything that's long and stringy
like ribbon. Trust me the vet bills are bad.

3. Can't afford ribbon or tags
Tags get made out of little pieces of spare wrapping paper.

8. Vet bills may be high but sometimes you can't even catch the kitty in
in the first place!! I have one un-fixed female kitty that seems to be stuck in perpetual heat. She is ordinarily extremely skittish, too. And my new vet won'tjust fix her if I was fortunate enough to stuff her in a a carrier...they have to do the checkup first and then make another appointment later for the operation. so the chances of me getting StellaKitty into the vets even ONCE, do not look too good.
I would bring her to my old vet but have had some bad luck getting my kittens spayed there. On 2 different occasions had both my kittens died. So, as nice as they are, they obviously were a jinx for me. Anyways, aside from all that...Kitties Rule!!!

12. Find a new vet..pronto..
Ask your friends for recommendations.. An unfixed female that is constantly in heat can actually develops a BIG problem.. We had one almost die from it..

4. Now they're really pissed
While they were ignoring me on the bed, all the rest of the presents got wrapped in the living room. Now they've got nothing to chase and can't "help".

5. My kitty isn't all that interested in wrapping paper....
But they get to play with paper twice a month. I get the newspaper, and I usually put the papers in the recycling bi each day, but I save the Sundays, because they are so HUGE, so it takes me a hile to get through all the ads, etc. So, about every other sunday, I pull out two weeks of what's left of the Sunday paper, and go through the parts I hadn't had time to read. As I finish each section, I ball up the pages and throw it at kitty. I SWEAR she could have been a quarterback!!!! She loves to leap into the air and catch the balled up paper with her front paws! It's so funny! :-)

6. My cat is so lazy today........
He's an indoor cat who wants to be an outdoor cat so I usually lock him in the bedroom before I get the mail. Today he was sleeping in the front window so I decided to risk it and went out into the cold. Now he can see me through the window and I expected him to jump up and beg and try to escape when I came in as usual. No soap, too cold! Lazy bum.

13. I had to wear sandals to my office Christmas party
because one of my cats peed in my shoe. Now that's lazy! No idea why - it's never been done before, as far as I know. Now I have to smell my shoes before I put them on.

14. I can hear my rescued cat snoring in her little kitty house
as I write this. It gives me a warm feeling to know that she feels secure, well-fed and, finally, safe. Your kitties must feel pretty secure to not be disturbed by the commotion. Consider yourself lucky. My poor kitty is frightened by so much that I need help in getting her in her kitty carrier.:-(
