Need some help.

I am getting afraid to post on this site. Every time I do it gets ridiculed or the thread is terminated.

I check a website from time to time that lists likely results based on Rasmussen polls for the upcoming election. I posted a link in latest breaking news and the moderator locked it. Why? I check the website every day all day and follow all the news here religiously. I get treated like a noob. It's not gonna hurt this site for people to respond to a poll showing a 50-50 tie in senate and a 19 seat gain in the house. I thought I was being helpful. Sorry.

Maybe I don't understand the rules for posting in the latest news section.

3. In reference to LBN, there are specific requirements for posting.

Putting together poll results from a website does't really qualify.

Take a few minutes to look over the posting guidelines--what you've posted would be fine in general discussion or general discussion/politics.

8. Well, this may not help, but:

1. LBN has very specific rules about what you can post; if a mod locked your thread it was probably because your post didn't conform. Don't feel bad, just be more careful.
   
2. As for ridicule, some people are just dicks.

9. Maybe just try replying for awhile...

Pump your numbers. People tend to think that the newbies with low numbers aren't worth trusting...you have to prove your not here to cause trouble. Sad, but that's the way it is around here. The place to pump your numbers is the lounge. Talk about nothing. Then when something does come up, post in GD. I hope that helps.

10. I had a problem posting on LBN too, and never tried again.

They are pretty particular about what and how to post there. Have you tried GDP for posting polls? That might be a better place for them.
