Well for starters you'd get to hang out with demi-goddesses. That's a major perk right there.

With respect to smiting, I'm not sure if you could, like... remotely smite people... still you would have greater powers than mere mortals, so for sure you could kick some very serious ass. Which is almost as good and perhaps even more viscerally satisfying.
