For we three car geeks: Filming resumes on Top Gear
Pardon my fannishness, but there must be at least a few other folks here who watch Top Gear.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/5409608.stm

Filming for a new series of the BBC's Top Gear programme has resumed, 15 days after presenter Richard Hammond crashed in a jet-powered car.

<snip>

Despite production being back up and running it is still not clear when the new series will actually be broadcast.

"The next series will not be scheduled until we have further news of Richard's progress. We remain committed to the future of Top Gear," the spokeswoman added.

3. The thread title threw me.
I thought it was about filming a resume with something called Top Gear.
No, I've never heard of the show.

4. Oh! I can see that of course...
Nope, it's a great car show filmed by the BBC... Lightyears better than the US shows we have here, if you're into that sort of thing...

6. I love that show.
Only car show I've seen that will actually totally bad-mouth a car. Most shows are too worried about their auto advertisers to make anything more than the weakest complaint, but these guys will trash a car. Plus, their little competitions are fun.

7. Exactly - when was the last time you heard anyone on, say, Motorweek,
say anything negative about a vehicle, or Detroit in general for that matter?

Do you watch Autoline Detroit with John Mc-something? That's pretty much the only car show I know of that has actual news and criticism of the industry.
