To friends, family, and DUers who happen to wander into my journal -- welcome!

My husband and I are heading out to Florida for a couple of weeks. We're going to visit family and friends. I don't expect to have access to the Internet at the timeshares we will occupy, so think well of me and please don't fight!

A key activity will be attending my 50th High School Reunion. I'm kind of excited, but a little bit apprehensive, too. I haven't seen most of these people since the Summer of 1956 -- now they are old, fat, and hunched over -- but I haven't changed ONE BIT!

Seriously, folks, I'm rushing to pack, but you still have a few more days to talk with me if you're reading this on Wednesday, October 4 around 8 PM Pacific Time.

Topics I could use some advice on:

**Airline, security, and packing recommendations. I think I lost the link to the government list of items you can take on board and those you can't. If anyone has that .gov website, please post it here -- thank you!

**Places to go in and things to do in Ft. Myers, and Orlando, Florida.

**What to do or say with your former classmates so the two dinners we attend will be fun for all (including husband, who was NOT in my class. This can include your experiences with your reunions over the years.

14. You found me out... how did that happen?

For a couple of months, I was an employee of an escort service in the early 1970s, but I'll never tell a soul. Just you.

OK, you're curious. The group was registered with the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, everything was on the up-and-up, and we made $80 an evening, plus tips. No prostitution. It was called "Rent-A-Bird." My ex-husband had lost his job, left me for another woman, and then divorced me. I was desperate -- two small babies, a dog, a house with a mortgage. I have no regrets. I met some interesting men, most of them married and on travel.
