Do you ever wonder if we DUers actually know each other?
I do.

I once mentioned my brother, and it turned out that a DUer
was in his classes in high school (he was the teacher).

1. Pied Piper and I went to high school together
He read my posts and figured out who I was-we actually had been friends since elementary school. But we hadn't seen each other since a year or so after graduation.

4. I think it happens more than we realize.
It's the six degrees of separation, thing. The world really is a small place.

14. I met a guy who knew my ex
Of course, ex and I were both from CT, and I met the guy (also from CT) in the train station in Prague, in the Czech Republic. Small world.

Oh, and I met a DU'er at a friend's wedding! He saw my bumper sticker!

8. I was talking on the phone with another DUer when we discovered she knows
my sister. I don't think anybody here here knows me from outside DU though, since I've met most of the locals.

One of them told me about DU, and I told the other one about DU. :) But as far as everyone else, I'm not sure.

10. Mn9driver and I attend the same church and sing in the same choir
Before he joined the choir, I'd been on a committee or two with his wife, and didn't really know him, but one day he came up to me and asked, "Are you Lydia Leftcoast?" (Note: Lydia Leftcoast is not my real name, nor does it resemble my real name :-) )

11. I'd say it's unlikely in my case, though...
if I knew someone here, there's a greater probability it would be a Minnesotan or Wisconsinite than an Idahoan.

Did anyone here listen to WYTE radio in Stevens Point, WI from 1992 to 1995?
