What were you thinking? :spank: No, I hope that's not the reason. Or do I? Because I know it's something you won't do again...

3. Here's what I was thinking:
I will get a job but it's probably going to be at minimum wage, papering the Taj Mahal with the cover letters and resumes I've sent out in the last two months.

4. Well, welcome to my world.
I'm going from a goddamn mansion to a creepy little house, because of the divorce. Minimum wage will feed you. I wish you luck! Really.

14. Spellcheck won't get everything
Like if you write "their" when you should have written "they're." Or use "too" when you should have written "to" and other homophonic words.

8. You know what I just realized? (I should post this in the "things
you've never done" thread.) I have NEVER written a resume. Not once in my entire working life. Damn, that's strange. Redstone

15. I think that it depends
Spelling is an important skill and virtue. Sometimes the employer doesn't seem to be good at it, however. It always makes me laugh when I read job ads where there are several grammar and spelling errors. One of these ads with multiple mistakes was for a proofreader position. My husband thought that perhaps they wanted a correction in the cover letter.

16. One misspelling is OK
When it is more than one and with syntax errors, it's best to have someone look over the cover letter.
