1. I've been waiting on this for damn near a year now, ahah.
“I told them two things: ‘I don’t know what I’m doing, and I’m shooting on D.V.’ ”

Only Lynch could say something like that and make me think "Fuck, I can't wait."

2. It's either going to be really good, or really bad.
I'm a huge fan of Lynch's early work, but he has horrible choice in cast members as of late.

6. My prediction is that Inland is going to be hated by most...
But will be a surrealist gem.

7. I couldn't even watch that movie until the Lesbian scene...
and that says something about his movies...

Sometimes I think he just wants to be weird or quirky just for the sake of being weird and quirky...

8. He's heavily influenced by the surrealists.
And I think it works quite well.

9. Yea but he seems to try too hard....
I just read 100 Years of Solitude and that is about as Surreal as you can get and I loved it and would strongly recommend it to anyone...

The first season of Twin Peaks was something special but he just seemed to run out of ideas after awhile...

11. He actually drifted away from Twin Peaks quite a bit during the season 2..
I've spent a lot of time both watching and reading about Lynch's work, and I really don't think he tries too hard at all. Like the quote I posted above:
“I told them two things: ‘I don’t know what I’m doing, and I’m shooting on D.V.’” He just goes with the flow, as is often the method with surrealism. And like I said, you might think he's trying to hard to be weird, but I really think it works.

15. One of my favorite films.
Surely in my list of top five ever made. Complete and utter mindfuck that I thoroughly enjoyed again and again.

10. Lynch is too dark for me.
It is probably some of the best movie making of all time, but I just can't watch them anymore.

17. how the hell does this crap get financed?
Many of those I went to school with went into the film industry and they can speak for hours about all the great movies, many backed by a-list producers that never get made because the money men don't think the script will translate well into Magyar.

How the hell does a crank like David Lynch get to shit out film after film?
