Poll question: Which childhood bullying activity is the worst?
When I was growing up there were an plenty of mean, cruel kids. Out of the list of things I have had done to me, I know what I dreaded the most -- swirlies. Which childhood activity did you hate the most?

3. Here's the descriptions
Swirlie = Forcing someone's head into a toilet and flushing repeatedly. In my view this is tantamount to waterboarding because you truly fear you will drown.

Purple Nurple = Otherwise known as a "titty twister". Catch someone by surprise by pinching their nipple and twisting it as quickly and hard as you can.

Snakebite = Grab someone's arm with both hands. Twist in alternating directions as hard and fast as possible. If done hard enough, the victim feels like their arm has been mauled (which it has).

Hurts Donut = Ask someone if they would like a "Hurts Donut". Regardless of how they answer, punch them with all your might. As they writhe on the floor in pain you announce "Hurts. Don't it?"

Noogies = Lock your arm around someone's head with the crown facing out. Take your other hand, make a fist, and rub it as vigorously as you can on their scalp. If done forcefully enough, this will remove hair.

Headlocks and Sleeper Holds = these are both wrestling moves. And they hurt.

6. Children engaging in sick, abusive behaviors learned from abusive parents
are collectively vile. I can't believe someone would refer to this so casually.

9. I'm not being casual about this
My brother would torment me constantly with these things when I was growing up. I would be sitting quietly reading a book or watching tv and he would sneak up on me and attack. And if I retaliated or cried my mother would scold me for provoking him.

Don't worry. I'm a big boy now and I do not associate with them at all any more. It took a long time for me to realize they had the problem, not me.

11. Shunning and ridicule. The physical abuse is intermittent, but the
emotional isolation can go on for years. Happened to a friend of mine who is still one of my best friends ever 30 years later.

16. It varies - with swirlies, if the kid struggles, your shoes get wet.
However, if the kid wears a lot of gel then a headlock can get goop on your arm. So I can't really decide, but it's one of those two, for sure...
