I am an EVIL REPUB Parent
My son got pissed at me today for implementing tough love. I refused to cut off the crust for his PB&J in his lunch. I told him if he doesn't like the crust, he can pull it off himself and suffer the consequences of a massively reduced sandwich.

What are Uncrustables®?
Uncrustables® are the perfect "grab-and-go" sandwich for families on the move. Simply keep them in the freezer, then pack them in your lunch in the morning. By lunchtime, Uncrustables® are thawed and ready to eat.

4. Thanks for the link, but...
...I refuse to pay for something like that on principle. Why pay more for them to process what my kids should be doing with his bare hands?

It is a simple lesson. Parents are not going to do it for you, nor are you going to pay more for some faceless corporation to do it either.

7. What you don't want to fed your kids PB&J from God knows where?
Yeah I saw this advertised on the Today Show and started a thread about "ARe we really this lazy?". It seems a bit much to not be able to take the time to make a freakin' PB&J sandwich but some people said they really liked them.

5. You are like Batman in the Michael Keaton remake
The Joker: "Where does he get those amazing toys???"

I'm like, "Where does Underpants get those amazing links??""

8. Sign on of the apocalypse
There was a "Are we really this lazy?" thread about it a while ago (mines).

They advertise this on the Today Show pretty regularly.

6. Next on the agenda, the Chanukah presents
The kids seem to think it is a right of birth to have presents to open. Add to that the insane amount of presents they will be getting on Christmas (my wife $ is not Jewish)

We are intentionally going to let them open the rest of their Chanukah gifts tonight so they have nothing for the remainder of Chanukah and will have a day off from unwrapping until Christmas morning.

The tough love parade just keeps on chugging.

9. My Daughter Routinely Eats Around The Crust
Hey, that's a good name for a band..

anyway, i refuse to cut the crust off because, you're right, it does give the little tikes less to eat. if they are truly hungry, they'll eat it.

i did however, cut my daughters toast into 4 identical triangles this morning because that's what my mom used to do for her.. and i know she loves it. :)

10. Eating Around the Crust...
...is right up there with "JIF and the Choosy Mothers" as band names go.

I am in too much of a hurry to worry about cutting, etc, and my kids know my routine. On days when I have to get them to school, they know they can play until 8AM, when they eat breakfast. 8:15 AM is bathroom and teeth brushing, and they are to be dressed by 8:30. Shoes are on feet by 8:40, so they have 5 to 10 minutes to actually locate them. I sometimes refer to this as "Shoefikoman", a reference to Afikoman, or the hidden matzoh at Passover.

We have yet to be late to school.

My loving wife $ on the other hand, can't seem to get them going without the amount of yelliness necessary to cause a CYS van to pull up out front.

Later,
JM the Crusted

13. Elementary is
9A-3:20P

I am sure it gets earlier in middle and high school. Hopefully I won't be receiving crust-removal requests at that point

11. What is crust really? It's more of a concept then a physical thing.
I mean if there is no crust on the Smuckers things, what is that edge that is crimped together dough then? It looks like a crust, or maybe not.... you guys are fracturing my and belief system.
