Microsoft freaking sucks...
Why the hell do they only put trial versions of their software on computers now? Why do it at all? It just pisses me off. Back in the day, when you bought an overpriced system, the reason it was overpriced was because it had all of the microsoft programs on it. Greedy Bastards.

1. And?
Even when it's released software, it's often beta quality.

And right down to the early days, they're known for being expensive... They wrote a BASIC compiler that they charged as much to buy ($300) as the cost of the Altair hardware it ran on ($300).

Amusing...

Vista is also the price of a new PC. :D

2. Oh, I agree wholeheartedly
I have this lovely thing in my computer - every time I turn it on, a window comes up telling me that Microsoft Installer is preparing to install some upgrade to some fucking software that's expired. I hit cancel and it pops back up again. Hit cancel - it pops back up. I have to do this anywhere from 4 to 16 times just to get the damn thing to go away. If I just leave it, it tells me I need a disk and to insert one, etc. And when I hit "cancel" on that message, the whole process starts up again.

What the hell does "cancel" mean if it doesn't mean cut it the hell out and let me continue with what I'm doing?

4. Go to Add/Remove Programs under Control Panel
and murder the damned thing in cold blood. My girlfriend's old Dell laptop does the same thing; she won't let me murder it (the program that is) though.

5. I think the same evil spirit made VHS beat out Beta in the market.
And Bush beat Gore. Something's just wrong with people.
