Guess what?
Edited on Thu Sep-28-06 05:48 AM by SoCalDem
It is possible to still type with a broken ring finger, and a cracked bone in both wrists :eyes:

I did a beached whale impression at the bowling alley tonight when I tripped and fell over a bowling bag rack.. landed so hard, my glasses flew off, and without even thinking I put both hand out and landed "just right" or would that be wrong..?

xrays showed nothing too horrible, and they should heal with the braces they gave me..and the bruise on one knee is a doozy, but all in all I am ok..and I will have to have the "eye-guy" straighten the frame..

At our bowling league, we have "old-lady gymnastics".. I think my stunt would have at least garnered a 3.9.. and I really STUCK the bellyflop landing :)

So far the only thing I cannot manage is picking up anything heavier than a coffee cup.. I guess we'll be eating out a lot..and my husband will have to do kitty litter duty :)

8. Nope.. but they gave me the weirdest cast and the whole xray
Edited on Fri Sep-29-06 05:11 AM by SoCalDem
procedure si so different from the last time I had xrays.. The pad thing you lay your hand on is a computer made by canon, and the "films" are processed eight on the spot and handed to me as I left the room.. It took all of 4-5 minutes start to finish..

The cast is just a molded pad-like thing with an ace-bandage type of a wrap.. I asked why would prevent me from removing it.. The dr said.. "Do you want it to heal?

They must have more sturdy ones for the kids :)

9. The internets stole my post!
It did the connection reset by peer thing. Damn.

Anyway, I said:

Subject: Ow! Oh no!

Message:

FWIW, I was typing one handed a coupla weeks back, after I cut me finger. (for the first coupla days I could not move the hand without pain, but the people at the hospital say I will get feeling back eventually) :)
