I need some long distance relationship advice.
So, I've been sick for five days so I haven't been going to work. I've had nothing to distract me... so I'm sitting around missing my SO. It really blows.
Anyone have any tips on how to deal with this kinda shit?
It's compounded by the fact I got hammered last night with a friend... so the tummy rumble I usually get from missing her is extra bad today.
On the upside she thought the drunk incoherent love messages I left on her phone last night were funny.
But, yeah.. any tips lemme know.

4. Oh, if you want to forget about naked women go to the brothel.
A bit of time spent there and one has done enough thinking about naked women and can move on to think of more important things.

6. Yeah, we sort of are
We met in April... hooked up in July and didn't want to end it. She moved at the begining of the month for school... she may be back for the summer. But, she's an hour flight or 7.5 hour car ride away. So we see each other at least every three weeks. Thing is, we just get along too well and have so many of the same goals and dreams in life. So, it's a hell of a relationship. And, basically if things work out till Christmas we'll commit to finding a way to be together in the summer no matter what... and go from there.
But, we both feel we could spend the rest of our lives together, so yeah... it's worth it.

5. That's pretty funny
"I've been sick for five days so I haven't been going to work"

Then:

"I got hammered last night with a friend"

I have no advice about long distance relationships, but that is funny as hell.

7. Uh, phone sex?

No really, the no bullshit answer is that being away from people we love is painful. There's no way to change that.

13. Go on a looonnngg vacation at Christmas
If you see each other only every three weeks, you're always on your best behavior (some call it "courting behavior"). Spend several days together in one vactation spot, to see if you'll really get along over the long term.

20. Aw, HeyHey I totally hear you on this one.
My SO left for school at the weekend. He lives about 3 hours on the train from me now. I feel a little lost. We have lived together for 5 years now.
I got no advice except to say 'I feel your pain' and if you ever wanna have big old bitch about the mean old world you know where to find me.
Doesn't help that they're off doing all this fun new stuff and you're just doing the same shit but without the nice part being there anymore.
:(
