Of course I'm talking about MTV in the '80s, mainly, when it was still sporadically relevant. Feel free to interpret "it all" as just popular culture or TV, or just "it all."

Corollary question: How much of it all is Adam Ant's fault? (Was watching VH1 Classic, which still ought to be called VH2. Maintenance guys were mowing the lawn just outside. Adam & the Ants were doing "Stand and Deliver" and I found out decades too late that what they needed all along was a loud lawnmower. It sounded like Adam was singing over and over "I need a crockpot," improving the song immeasurably.)
