Someone take pity and shoot me.
I just spent two days on the road. My boss's idea of motivation is to tell me that I have to concentrate and work FASTER or I'm history.

So I've spent two days: my car, my gas, my food; putting out other people's fires that they claim they don't have. I was to spend today preparing reports and then head out again tomorrow.

Chrysler has issues that the BOSS was supposed to take care of, instead, he threw them "over the fence" for me to catch. I have to analyze a 50 page presentation and a 40 line action item list, contact two other people who are ducking my calls and emails to network for projects, and prepare a talking point document for presentation by a VP tomorrow at noon.

All this, and have all my reports ready for the Boss on Monday morning.

NOW, he's made my lost cell phone his #1 action item, and has sent me no less than 6 emails in the last hour, DEMANDING updates on when the replacement will be done and who I am going to hold responsible for this and he wants it done by the end of the day.

On top of this, he has involved ANOTHER VP in this particular issue, getting his "buy in" on his actions.

I now have massive indigestion and a 9.5 migraine complete with visuals.

Am I the only SANE person in this place?

7. Why take a chance?
Use my deep-scored hot glue filled hollowpoints.

Almost as good as the old "parafrags."

9. You sweet thang....
He is BEYOND idiocy. He is a corporate WORM of the first rank.

Got some good news, though. The ASCP is going to re-activate my Medical Laboratory registry. And I actually used to think working in HOSPITALS was Hell. I'd drop what I'm doing and put on a lab coat NOW if I could. And I just might.

And THANKS again, but to paraphrase: in the land of the Blind, the one eyed man may be king, but in the land of the crazy people, the sane man usually gets hung (if he's LUCKY).

10. Time to start looking for a new job
there is little you can do about a crazed, abusive boss, though I would document EVERYTHING to cover my ass, if I were you.

Sounds like a Dilbert cartoon from hell.

I found out that this company files against Unemployment claims 100% of the time, and they ALWAYS go to first appeal.

12. You have 3 VPs circling you at once?
Your boss, the "buy in" veep and and the "presentation at noon" veep. Seems like you're pretty important and deserving of a promotion. Though, considering reality in the corporate world (mostly), and how that reality is never appropriate, I do have some Black Talons for that aforementioned .45 if you'd like them.

16. we have more VP's per capita than ENRON had.
Last count I believe was 50: about 1 VP for every 250 employees.

15. the boss isn't a VP, he's a "FOJ"
That's "Friend of Julie." Our $1 billion+ company is owned by "The Browns," Jim and Julie.

Julie is the "Titular" owner, her dad was an ARVN General so she got the $1 million to buy the first plants in free, you-don't-have-to-pay-it-back GOVERNMENT "loans." That way, not only was the money free, but she, as an expat Vietnamese (Catholic, French speaking, so was Daddy), can call the place "Minority Owned." Jim is Goerhing the Nazi Germany that is Plastech, but Julie is too clueless to be Hitler.

As we say here, you don't FUCK with an "FOJ."
